About

I grew up with a unique blend of experiences, going back and forth between my grandparents’ hotel, real estate ventures, and billboard business, while also navigating life with my mother, who struggled with a pain pill addiction and embraced a modest, hippie Buddhist lifestyle. Consequently, I found I had to be self-reliant for a significant part of my childhood.

From an early age, I developed a fascination with the art of creating from scratch, transforming the old into new, and the ability to decipher people’s preferences by reading their expressions. These passions ignited my love for the world of creation and design.

I love the soul of Kentucky. My family’s roots trace back to the state’s history, including a connection to the second Governor of the Commonwealth. Our heritage encompasses hardworking farmers and market owners who began in Owsley County, one of the nation’s poorest regions. Throughout generations, our shared commitment has been to serve this state and leave a positive impact on this earth, striving to make it better than we found it.

When I launched my first company Blue Blood, it primarily focused on billboards, with interior design on the side. However, as we progressed, our journey led us to transform into a real estate company, with billboards on the side.

Then The Heartland Co was born.

Embracing diverse ventures like renovations, Airbnb design and management, subdivision development, and house plan design, along with commercial, residential, and outdoor projects, my mission is to prioritize what aligns with the area’s essence and the story we aim to convey. Our dedication to impeccable execution at every stage sets us apart from the competition.
